Ingredients for Chocolate Meringue Recipe

  • Cocoa powder 30 grams

  • Icing sugar 150 grams

  • Egg whites 150 grams

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 150 grams

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with butter paper.

Step 2

Sieve together the icing sugar and cocoa powder into a bowl. Mix well.

Step 3

Cream the egg whites and castor sugar in another bowl with a hand blender.

Step 4

Fold in the cocoa powder mixture, little by little, in the egg mixture and mix well.

Step 5

Put the mixture in a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle and seal.

Step 6

Pipe out small meringues on the lined baking tray and pat the peaks with your finger. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes.

Step 7

Remove from heat, cool and serve.
