How to make Chocolate Kheer - Chocolate adds a new dimension to the popular rice kheer.

Main Ingredients : Dark chocolate (डार्क चॉकलेट), Rice (चावल)

Indian cuisine comprises of a number of regional cuisines.  The diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic group and occupations, these cuisines differ from each other mainly due to the use of locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.    

Chocolate Kheer Recipe Card

Ingredients for Chocolate Kheer Recipe

  • Dark chocolate grated ½ cup

  • Rice soaked 2 tablespoons

  • Milk 4 cups

  • Mawa (khoya) grated ¼ cup

  • Sugar ? cup

  • Chocolate chips for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Grind rice to a coarse paste.

Step 2

Boil milk in a non-stick pan. Add rice paste and cook till the milk reduces and rice is cooked.

Step 3

Add mawa and mix. Add sugar and stir till it dissolves.

Step 4

Transfer into a bowl and add chocolate and mix. Cool and chill.

Step 5

Pour into individual kasore. Sprinkle chocolate chips and serve.
