Ingredients for Choco Ragi Cake Recipe

  • Dark chocolate roughly chopped 3/4 cup

  • Finger millet (ragi / nachni) flour 1 cup

  • Butter 1/2 cup

  • Eggs 2

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1/2 cup

  • Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Whisky 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven at 180°C.

Step 2

Put chocolate and butterin a bowl and melt on a double boiler. Set it aside to cool completely.

Step 3

Break eggs into a bowl and whisk them till light and fluffy. Add castorsugar, little by little, and continue whisking till well combined.

Step 4

Pour chocolate mixture into the egg and sugar mixture and whisk well.

Step 5

Sift together ragi flour and baking powder into it and mix well.

Step 6

Add whisky and mix well. Transfer the mixture into a baking tin, level it out, place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for fifty-five minutes. Remove from oven, cool and remove from the tin.

Step 7

Cut into slices and serve.
